Symptoms of this disorder include physical alterations, which can sometimes delay diagnosis of the disease.

Anxiety Attack Generalized anxiety disorder is a disease characterized by excessive worry about several topics such as family, work, economic status, health status, etc.. These concerns generate significant discomfort and generally hinder the daily lives of people who suffer because they are difficult to control.

Can be defined as constants and excessive worries also relate to multiple physical conditions.

This disorder is more common in women, however, it affects both sexes. It usually begins in adolescence and may worsen during times of stress.

Causes and common symptoms

The exact cause of this disease is not known but several factors are related to it and contribute to its appearance. One of these is genetic, and therefore can be hereditary.

several brain structures that relate to the onset of symptoms of anxiety and fear and involved in the onset of symptoms of this disorder are currently known. Such symptoms include emotional disturbances such as excessive concerns about the activities of daily life, inability to control concerns, difficulty be relaxed, changes in sleep patterns, feelings of irritability and low tolerance, and physical symptoms such as fatigue, pain headaches, stomachaches, muscle aches, sweating, dizziness, difficulty paying attention or concentrating, etc.

Antidepressants, primary treatment

To treat the first step is to do a complete medical examination, sometimes it includes laboratory studies to make sure the symptoms are not caused by any physical cause.

After the diagnosis should start treatment with medications (anxiolytics and antidepressants) and sometimes accompany it with psychotherapy (mainly those called cognitive - behavioral).

Antidepressants are the main treatment used for depression and anxiety, usually take 2 to 3 weeks to take full effect.

Anxiolytics generally used at baseline and for short periods to control symptoms immediately.

Unfortunately this disease can not be prevented because of the many factors involved in their appearance.

It is best to identify symptoms, seek professional help and give timely treatment to avoid complications and effects on quality of life.
