Turbinate hypertrophy is swelling or enlargement of the turbinates, a part of the nose whose function is to humidify and heat the air that is inhaled. When you have the nose is blocked and there is a feeling of difficulty breathing; headache, sinusitis, snoring, dry mouth and bad breath. The causes include rhinitis, changes in temperature or excessive moisture in the air.
