Vasculitis means inflammation of blood vessels. It can affect both arteries and veins. For inflammation affect the second called phlebitis, whereas if the damage is in the arteries is called arteritis. The classification of these clinical pictures is performed according to the size of the affected vessel, the severity of lesions, the type and the cause infiltration process. The causes of vasculitis can be infectious, immunologic or cause, often for no apparent reason. Clinical manifestations appear depending on the location of the affected vessel: a cutaneous level (ulcers), kidney and genital level (hypertension), a neurological level (headaches), and bone and joint or muscle level (joint pain). In any case, treatment should be swift and adapted to each pathology and patient.
